Hello and welcome to Big House Little Kitchen! It's our first blog ya'll! We are Nicole and Nathan Arnold, living in the wonderful village of Granville, Ohio. We've just purchased a big ole' house that needs a lot of love and a lot of updating. With a handful of bedrooms, multiple bathrooms and lots of living space, we have big things planned for our first home and we are opening up this blog to share our ideas with you!
We did a lot, and I mean A LOT, of research before buying a home and in the process we wished there was one good place that would talk about all the nitty gritty details that you might not know. We had a lot of questions and spent a lot of time getting answers. We would love to provide you with the information we found and our personal opinions, tips and suggestions that might help you in the process of home buying, decorating and living! In the next few weeks we will be sharing the process that we went through to get here. We are no experts, by any means, but we have a lot of great ideas. We might be bias when we say we have a great savvy style!
We went in to this process thinking it was slightly more glamorous than what it really is. Note: it's nothing like those shows on TV where they show you three options and you pick the best one and boom you're a homeowner. However, it truly is the American dream, but somewhat stressful until you have those house keys in hand. We will discuss everything from mortgages to marriage and renovations to recipes here at Big House Little Kitchen. So please follow along weekly for our journey has just begun!
