So fresh and so clean, clean!

When moving from an apartment to your own home many will be excited to have their OWN full-size washer and dryer. We were. No more sharing with our previous neighbor, no worrying about whose laundry day it is – it’s all ours.

We went to Home Depot to get our washer and dryer. It’s convenient, only 5 minutes from our house and we were able to leverage the price Lowe’s quoted us to get a great deal. Nicole and I settled on this Maytag combo. It was a middle-of-the-road kind. We knew we wanted white and fresh and nothing too fancy. We would rather spend money on other renovation projects at this point.

We scheduled our delivery day so we could have a few days to paint. It was now or never to paint. The whole room went Dove White. We knew this is the color we wanted the trim in the whole house and the cabinets, so we just did the whole room the same color to keep it fresh and clean.

The cabinets took several coats of paint and primer, but it was well worth the effort. From orange-ish wood color to this great soft white. Simple update.
Materials:
- 1 gallon of Dove White paint
- 1 small 6in roller
- 1 high quality paint brush
- Blue painters tape
- 4 door handles
- Spackle, caulking

Cost:
About $55

Time spent:
4 hours over two days, excluding drying time between coats of paint
